Provision for Lateral Entry to Second semester (First level):

Eligibility : (1) 3 years graduation and six months computer course OR (2) 3 year Diploma from state board for technical education after 10+2 and at least two years experience in an IT related organization thereafter. OR (3) BBA / BBM / BCA/BScIT/BSc Computer science equivalent from recognized University. OR (4) 3 years graduation (any discipline) with 6 months management diploma from an institution and 1 year managerial / supervisory experience in reputed organization. OR (5) 3 year graduation (any discipline) and minimum 3 years of managerial / supervisory experience in reputed organization. OR (6) Final year engineering students.

Additional Fees : In addition to the normal fees, an additional lateral entry fee of Rs 2,500/- (including examination fees) is payable by students opting for this Scheme.

Course Fee : Rs 10,450/-per semester inclusive of exam fees or as revised from time to time.

Min. Duration : 2 years (4 semesters)

Max. Duration : 4 Years

Maximum counselling and hands-on experience at study centers : 160 hrs/semester.

Note :

  In this lateral entry scheme, students have to appear and pass the first semester examination. Books of first semester will be supplied by the University and internal assessment will be completed at the learning center.

Note :

  1 Term end examination shall be carried out by the University at the various examination centers. Spread all over India. Practical exams and continuous evaluation of other subjects will be carried out at the Learning Centers;

  2 Subjects containing “*” are SMU modules and will be examined by SMU directly.
