The
world has become a small place because of the revolution in
Information Technology. It has affected our lives in such a fashion
that it has resulted in its implications on various sectors like
business, education, entertainment services, healthcare and most walks
of life. This
course is designed to produce a dynamic breed of computer
professionals possessing excellent managerial skills. Emphasis is
given to in-depth studies of numerous application-oriented subjects,
covering various methodologies to develop software products
efficiently and error-free, by utilizing advance networking
technologies and application software. The
First and Second semesters aims at preparing the graduates to handle
computers in large organizations. Programming concepts and handling of
various operating systems are exposed in these two semesters. After
successful completion of the first two semesters of MCA, if a student
wishes to discontinue the course, such student shall be awarded with
the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application [PGDCA]. In the
Third and Fourth semesters, students will be exposed to programming
languages, data base management techniques, Networking and Software
management techniques, communication techniques along with algorithmic
theories. After successful completion of the first four semesters of
MCA, if a student wishes to discontinue the course, such student shall
be awarded with the Master of Science in Computer Science (MScCS). The
Fifth and Sixth semesters of the course aims to train the graduates
with latest technical skills and software management skills required
at the higher levels of IT management. Students will be exposed to
software management, networking concepts, operating system concepts,
computer architectures, processors and other advanced concepts in IT
field. After completion of Sixth semester, students shall be awarded
with Masters in Computer Application (MCA). Objectives : The course is geared towards realizing the following objectives. Students will have : - 1 A strong foundation of computer systems and information technology 2 dexterity in advanced programming languages 3 the power to build sophisticated software for a wide range of applications 4 the skills to work with end applications in internet technologies 5 the managerial ability to analyze, design and develop software and to maintain software development. Eligibility : 3 years graduation or equivalent Course Fee : I & II Semester: Rs 10,450/- and III, IV, V & VI Semesters: Rs 11,450/- per semester inclusive of exam fees or as revised from time to time. Min. Duration : 3 Years(6 Semesters) Max. Duration : 6 Years Maximum counseling and hands-on experience at study centers : 240 hrs/semester |
